Excellent turnout for annual BPAA cricket and netball tournaments

Sponsored by Kubiak Creative

Last week saw the return of the annual Bristol Property Agents Association (BPAA) Netball and Cricket tournaments at a sunny but blustery Coombe Dingle Sports Complex

With over 300 runs scored, the cricket proved to be another success and offices retained the Kubiak Cup after posting an impressive 170/6 in their 20 overs (Rupert Elphick 30 not out; Ben Tothill 26 not out ; Sam Williams 28 not out).

With a 6 off the first ball Sheds set off at pace but despite Kiran Naidoo , Eric Woollard Browning and Freddie Eyston all scoring runs, they fell short finishing 157/9. The game was also notable for some spectacular catches including a couple from Peter Musgrove.

The netball was also a great success with 8 teams signing up this year and more than 60 players on court! The afternoon started with the first round of matches across two groups, with some close fought games. The play off and semi-final matches were next, with the last game of the afternoon being the final between JLL and the ‘Individual Entries’ team. It was an end to end game, with the score level throughout and whilst JLL had won against them earlier in the initial rounds, the Individual Entries took the lead in the last few minutes of play, coming away victorious!

A big thank you to Chris Howell, Jack Michael Davies and Rachel Lillie for organising, to our sponsors Kubiak Creative Ltd for providing much needed match tea after a very fun afternoon, and thanks to everyone who played as all the money raised is going to this year’s charity Penny Brohn UK.

We’re looking forward to next year already!
